The house Monal is located very sunny and quiet at the edge of the forest, with direct view to the Matterhorn. During the winter-season you can ski on the Riedweg and directly to the house "Monal" (recirculation of the Sunnegga ski-area) and in summer it is an ideal starting point for hiking and walking tours in all directions.

 The Sunnegga station can be reached within a 4 minutes walk, the skibus-stop within 4 walking minutes and the Gornergrat station is about 10-12 minutes walking distance.

 The region Gryfelblatte, where the house Monal is built, is remote of the main street, the center of the village can be reached within a few minutes walking distance.
